Join us as we welcome our Seminarians this weekend!
This weekend we have our (former St. Paul Christian Day School students) fourth-year seminarian students (Jacob Eichers, Craig Reiter, Aaron Hauser and Casey Kegley) sharing God's Word with us. Casey and Jacob will be continuing their education towards a second master's degree. Aaron and Craig will receive pastoral calls on Wednesday, April 26. We will be collecting a door offering for Aaron and Craig today as a blessing to start their ministry. Please prayerfully consider a financial gift for them above your regular offering.

About Call Day...
Call Day at Concordia Seminary is the day when second year students learn their vicarage church assignments (a one-year internship at an LCMS church anywhere in the United States) and fourth year students learn their first call assignments. Deaconess students learn their deaconess internship assignments or diaconal call assignments on this day as well.
These assignments are announced and celebrated during  two worship services on Call Day.
Please Note Schedule Change for Monday, April 24
There will be no Monday Night Service on April 24 due to the special, unique worship services on Saturday and  Sunday, April 22 and 23 (see above). The Seminarians are not able to be with us  on Monday  because Call Day is  Wednesday, April 26  and they need to be in their respective classes. We understand this may be an inconvenience for our Monday night members/guests.  Hopefully you can rearrange your schedule to join us for these special messages on Saturday or Sunday. Thank You for your understanding.  -Board of Elders and Pastors
Pastor Wendorf's Weekly Devotional
"The Journey"
Very early on the first day of the week, when the sun had risen,
they went to the tomb.

Did you catch the story, they went to the tomb. They could have said enough is enough. Jesus had died, end of story.  But no, they wanted to go, to the tomb. Because of that "journey", their lives were changed forever. Our lives are a  series of "journeys" sometimes to exciting places, or to our favorite fishing spot, or even to family members or a friend. This fall I am going on a cruise to the Lands of the Bible. These journeys are nice, but I believe the most life changing journey of all is one we take each week to worship. When you "journey" to church you meet Jesus in His Word and  Sacraments in the message of the pastor and in prayer. These "journeys" are life changing moments when we  remember the resurrection which is of first importance.

You are welcome to contact Pastor Wendorf to share your thoughts regarding his weekly devotions. [email protected]

Next weekend our 8th grade students will be  visiting Washington DC for their class trip.
Please keep the students and chaperones
in your prayers.
