It's Hands in Service Weekend

St. Paul  H ands  I S ervice (HIS) seeks to reach out to our members, local community and the world at large as we put our hands and feet into HIS service. Have an idea or want to help with one of our ongoing outreaches?

Come to a meeting on the third Monday each month at 6:30pm to learn more or stop by the table this weekend in the Gathering Hall.

We'd love for you to join us as we put our hands into HIS service!
Pastor Wendorf's Weekly Devotional
"I Hope They Get What They Deserve"
It displeased Jonah exceedingly, and Jonah was angry! -Jonah 4:1

Do you ever think to yourself: "I hope they get what they deserve." You hear the account of a drunk driver killing an innocent person. What are your thoughts? Or someone at an airport is randomly shot, what do you think of the shooter? What do you want to happen? Jonah was sent to Nineveh and was told by God to tell them that God was going to destroy them in forty days.  An amazing thing happened. The people repented and God relented. Jonah's reaction: Disappointment! He said:  "I knew that you are a gracious God..." Jonah wanted them to "get what they deserved." God had other plans. Let us thank Jesus for the forgiveness that He has given us so that we do not "get what we deserve." Let us ask Him to help us feel the same toward others who have harmed us.

You are welcome to contact Pastor Wendorf to share your thoughts regarding his weekly devotions. [email protected]
