St. Rose School
St. Rose Report for September 1, 2017
Dear St. Rose Families,

We had a WONDERFUL first week at St. Rose School! We continue to welcome new families to our community. It is exciting to see that from preschool all the way up to middle-school, students are making new friends and being Christ-like in word, action, and relationship.

We had record attendance for New Parent Orientation on Tuesday night. When asked how they would most like to grow during their time at St. Rose, many of our parents responded in faith, in spirituality and in community. That's great news as that's our #1 goal for everyone in our community.

This was also an exciting week as we welcomed new lockers to the hallways for our middle school students! The students are enjoying the opportunity to personalize their own space and to lighten their loads as they move from class to class throughout the day.

Family Reminders:

  • Drop Off - Students who are dropped off before 7:45 will go to morning care.
  • Lunch Times - PreK through 4th grade have lunch at 12:00. Middle School lunch begins at 12:15.
  • Pick Up - Families with middle school children should not try to pick up kids in the car line prior to 3:05. We are having middle school students stay in their electives until exactly 3:00 so our primary kids can make it through the hallway before the middle school students begin packing up for the day at their lockers. Families with children in K - 4 should try to pick up in car line at 3:00.

Have a great 3 1/2 day weekend! We look forward to seeing you on Tuesday for another wonderful week!

Yours in Christ always,

Catherine Strader
St. Rose students are Christ-like
in word, action, and relationships!
At the first School Mass, we asked students to take up collections for the victims of Hurricane Harvey. The students collected $892.34 which was then matched by one of our generous parishioners. We are so grateful to our school families and our parish members for their willingness to help others in need. It is wonderful that St. Rose School and Parish were able to raise over $1,700 to meet the needs of our brothers and sisters in Christ.
September 1:
World Day of Prayer
for the Care of Creation
At morning prayer, we discussed being good stewards of God's Creation. Here is a video from Pope Francis regarding today's Day of Prayer for Care of Creation. Please ask your child about how they can be good stewards of creation.

More Ways to Support St. Rose School
Uniform Donations
With so many new students joining St. Rose School, donations of gently worn uniforms in good condition are greatly appreciated! Please remember to launder before drop-off. School Spirit shirts are particularly useful in making our new students feel welcome. If you have uniforms that your child has outgrown and can be useful to someone else, please bring them to the uniform room at your earliest convenience. Thank you so much!
