Pre-K Graduation Celebration
The Pre-K Graduation is a cumulative celebration of the entire Pre-K year. The gym is festive with the students' art work and projects. The gym is also full of the wonderful families there to celebrate. Our Pre-K students really shine as they share their songs and graduate. This impressive program takes an amazing amount of work from our Pre-K homeroom teachers: Miss Pat, Miss Maggie, and Miss Ronnie, and their wonderful team of aides including Miss Laurie, Miss Mary Lou, Miss Annie, Miss Becky, Miss Morgan and Miss Marivel.  Have a wonderful summer and we'll see you in September ready for another year of great learning!

Ambassador's Program - Volunteer Request
To welcome and assist new friends and families during their transition to the St. Theresa School Community.

The NEASC visiting team recognized that we are a diverse community, who need to look to supporting the members of our community. To work towards that objective we invite you and your family to become and A mbassadors.

This is a new program that will help formalize how St.Theresa School approaches, nurtures, and welcomes new families into our community. To become an ambassador you need to have a child enrolled in the current school year and he or she should have attended St. Theresa for more than one consecutive school year. The ambassadors will help St. Theresa School's new parents become more quickly acclimated to the community. Ambassadors will be assigned to specific families who have a student in the same grade level.

As an ambassador, you would be expected to:
  • Reach out, introduce, and welcome new parents to the community
  • Share any relevant information about the school's expectations, handbook rules, etc.
  • Be accessible to answer questions and/or concerns (primarily by e-mail).
  • Encourage new parents to participate in school events and activities (i.e. meet the new family at the Ice Cream Social and/or Walk-a-thon to make introductions to other St. Theresa families).
  • Seek out new parents at St. Theresa events and help them to get involved in the community.
Please respond to the HSA email if you are interested in becoming an ambassador.  If you speak a second language, have community ties and knowledge or are just interested in making new friends please consider helping out.  Sue Turotsy will be the coordinator for this program.

Fifth Grade Plots
Learning  about coordinates and ordered pairs has been fun in 5th grade! The students plotted pictures and have played Battleship!
8th Grade Physics and STEM in Motion
Recently, the 8th graders did the annual golf course project in science class. In this project we had to create a golf course using what we learned throughout the year. We had to connect simple machines, Newton's laws of motion, and our stem skills to complete the project. We also each picked a bridge to incorporate in our golf course. Each group created unique and fun projects and we all learned a lot while doing so. Putt-Putt by the Bay incorporating San Francisco and the Golden Gate Bridge, New York State of Mind had the G.W Bridge, TD Garden included the Bunker Hill Memorial Bridge and Boston sights, and Origins was a recreation of a video game which all show how different each was. Once we were all finished, we learned from each other more about STEM and how to be engineers. In the end, we all played each other's courses and saw each others golf skills. I have to say, Mrs. Ronnow is the best golfer!

Final Rosary Knotting next Wednesday at 3:30-5 PM
