Thank you to all the parents who attended Monday's Back to School Night. It was wonderful to see so many families present and involved in our school. I wish to also thank the many individuals who took the time to stop by the volunteer table to offer their assistance with the various activities and events planned for this year. If you did not get a chance to sign up to volunteer, please contact Mrs. Turotsy or Mrs. Nunes and they will be happy to accommodate you.
Our next Home School Association meeting is scheduled for Monday, October 2nd at 7:00 pm. I would like us to discuss the school's food allergy policy and decide if we need to make any changes. Also, on Monday, October 16th we are holding an important meeting to organize committees for the January Basketball Tournament. It is so important that we have enough people to help with the various tasks necessary to host a successful tournament. These committees will meet on a monthly basis from October through January.
The extra-curricular activities such as sports and clubs have already begun. Please be sure that you pick up students on time so that coaches and moderators are not delayed in their personal schedule.
The playground repairs are scheduled to be done during the Columbus Day weekend with the hope that the children will be able to come back to a safe and remodeled playground after that long weekend. Please continue to encourage your child to secure pledges for the walkathon as we will use these funds for the repairs.
Thank you again for your presence at Back to school Night and I look forward to our next meeting on October 2nd.
