Message from Bishop Michael
Our return to St. Paul's to serve as interim chaplains until Easter
has got off
a great start with a warm welcome on the first Sunday.
Both Father Soon Han Choi and I visited St. Paul's at the invitation of Father Walter in 2016, never thinking that we would return. Well here we are, together with a third friend
- Roy Hyslop, whose administrative and other skills have supported our
ministry in several churches, since my retirement.
It is our prayerful hope that during the coming two months we will all experience
something of a spiritual renewal as a church, through the opportunities of Lent and Easter, when we renew our commitment to the Risen Christ.
We shall be getting off to a good start to Lent with the Shrove Tuesday Pancake party and of course, the ASH WEDNESDAY EVENING EUCHARIST at 6.30pm on February 14th. In next week's Newsletter I will be listing other special events during the Lenten season, which will be on offer to help to deepen our discipleship through study and prayer. So watch this space - as the saying goes!
So, may God grant to us all at St. Paul's, as together we take up the work of ministry, a fresh outpouring of His Holy Spirit in the service of Christ and one another, as well as in the wider community.
Bishop Michael Marshall
