Dear friend,

Last Thursday, the Knesset passed the “Nation-State” law, which is contrary to the whole idea of a shared society. So what do we do now?

We at Givat Haviva believe, now more than ever, that it is critical to continue the fight for the ideal embodied in Israel’s Declaration of Independence of a Jewish-democratic state in which all citizens live together in social and political equality. We pursue this dream, one child, citizen and community at a time, with educational and dialogue programs that create pathways toward constructive change.  Now, with the passage of this law, our programs stand out even more clearly as points of light in an ever-darkening firmament.

I urge you, our American brothers and sisters who deeply value a democratic Israel, to fight back – by supporting Givat Haviva.
We will not give up. But we do need your help. Your support will send a powerful message – that people all over the world are standing up for equality, cooperation, and compassion.
Be’Amal Wa’Salam,
B’tikva vs’Shalom,
With hope and peace,

Yaniv Sagee
