Acupuncturists Without Borders is working with other acupuncture and medical teams to provide treatment services at the Standing Rock Reservation in North Dakota. As winter descends,
funds are urgently needed
to equip and coordinate a winterized acupuncture clinic for the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe and its allies.
The immediate trauma is real as protesters are attacked with water guns, sound grenades, and mace, while facing extreme cold and hypothermia. Many are hurt in the process of being arrested and incarcerated.
The historic trauma for Native Americans is highlighted by Thanksgiving gatherings across the country.
