Shanghai Bobby
Latest News:
Following an impressive 2nd place showing in the Holy Bull Stakes, Bobby returned to Palm Meadows to continue training and is now on a weekly work schedule in preparation for his next start. He breezed 4 furlongs in 49.61 on February 25th and continues to point towards the Florida Derby on March 30th at Gulfstream with Rosie Napravnik up. Standings after the first weekend of the Championship Series have Bobby sitting just behind the winners of this past weekend's 50 point races with 24 Derby points. Churchill Downs estimates that it will take a minimum of 40 points to qualify for the Derby field.  Bobby is ranked in the top 5 by Steve Haskin's  Derby Dozen and DRF's Top 20.

Behind-the-Scenes look at Bobby's Family::
Starlight Racing's Elizabeth Ovelman spent a recent sunny afternoon visiting Shanghai Bobby's parents
at Stonehaven Steadings and WinStar Farm.  At WinStar, she met Bobby's father and Starlight Racing's first stand-out champion, Harlan's Holiday.
At Stonehaven Steadings she spent time with Bobby's mother, Steelin,' and his full baby sister! For an entertaining account of her time at both farms and descriptions of what Bobby was like as a yearling along with additional photos, please click here.

Park City
Park City Victory
Gulfstream Allowance February 9th:
Park City had a victorious return to racing on
February 9th following a six-month layoff and remains
unbeaten! After sacrificing a few positions around
the turn, he dug in and rallied, grabbing the lead in
the final furlong and winning by a neck!  He worked 4 furlongs in 48.43 on Feb. 25th at Palm Meadows.  Look
for Park City to defend his record in the G2
Rebel Stakes at Oaklawn Park on March 16th, a Derby
prep race (50-20-10-5). Please click here to read Jack Wolf's thoughts on Park City's next target, as told to the Courier-Journal.
