GNETS Reviewed, Subcommittee to Work with ETAC Announced
During public comment, several speakers expressed confusion about and opposition to the new GNETS rule, available

The board also announced formation of a subcommittee that will work with the Education Turnaround Advisory Council (ETAC) formed by the First Priority Act, which passed during the 2017 legislative session and which was recently signed into law. The first meeting of the ETAC, an advisory group tasked with identifying a Chief Turnaround Officer to lead implementation of the act, was scheduled for Thursday afternoon following SBOE adjournment.

2017 Milestones Update
Associate Superintendent for Assessment and Accountability Melissa Fincher provided an update on the 2017 Milestones testing administration that included an increase in online test administration and a decrease in testing interruptions.
