(New York. 2/22/17) - The Majlis Ash Shura (Islamic Leadership Council) of New York stands in solidarity with the Jewish Community Centers (JCC). We condemn in the strongest terms the bomb threats that the JCC continues to receive and the desecration of the St. Louis Cemetery. The Jewish Community Centers across the nation have received bomb threats in Birmingham, Cleveland, Chicago, St. Paul, Tampa, Albuquerque, Houston, Milwaukee, Nashville, and Buffalo. No community should be intimidated and forced into fear and insecurity because of their religious identity especially in a nation that prides itself as the land of religious freedom.
