FROM OUR PTSA PRESIDENT
Dear Steinbrenner Students, Families, and Teachers,
As President of the Steinbrenner PTSA and on behalf of our hardworking board of volunteers, I would like to thank all of you who have assisted and worked with us since the beginning of the year.
One of our goals this year is to achieve enrolling 1,000 members to the PTSA. We have about 970 members right now so if you haven't already signed up to become a member please contact Michelle (
We are in the process of identifying persons to serve on the nominating committee of the PTSA. The committee's role is to recognize and seek qualified nominees for the elected leadership of the PTSA for the 2017/2018 school year. We will vote on the nominating committee members at our next general body meeting.
I'd like to say a special thank you to the board members and volunteers who attended and made the "World of a Teen" event such a success. The following schools were represented: Steinbrenner, Gaither, Martinez, Walker, Ben Hill, Smith, Davidson, Corbett Prep, Learning Gate and McKitrick and there were approximately 257 attendees. As always, the content was very relevant and the panelists were engaging and informative.
Thank you and I look forward to your continued participation.
"A strong PTSA embodies parent involvement and parent involvement represents student success."
Steinbrenner PTSA President, 2016-17
Teacher Appreciation Week
Dear Steinbrenner Families,
Teacher Appreciation Week (TAW) will be May 1st - 5th, 2017. The PTSA TAW committee is hard at work planning some great events to show our teachers and staff how much we appreciate them. If you would like to be a part of this great committee, please contact Lori Smart.
We will be having daily door prize drawings and are in need of more gifts. Any help you can give is greatly appreciated! If you have or know people who have access to tickets for theme parks, museums, sporting events and could get donations to such places, we would love to know about it, You may have season tickets and wouldn't mind donating a pair of tickets to one of the games. You may also have a business and would be wiling to donate something. If you make jewlery, do photography, or have a bakery and would like to make a contribution, that would be wonderful, as well. Also, if you frequent a particular salon, have a favorite restaurant or mall you go to, you could simply buy a gift card. No time to shop? Cash donations are great too! Make checks payable to Steinbrenner PTSA. Remember all donations are tax deductible. If you would like a receipt, please include your name, address and email with your donation and we will send you one. Please send donations to the Steinbrenner High School Main Office, Attention: PTSA TAW, 5575 W. Lutz Lake Fern Rd, Lutz, FL 33558. This is an easy way for you to help us make this a special week for the teachers! Thank you to everyone who has sent in gifts so far.
If you know of a business who might be interested in sponsoring any of our events during the week, please ask them to reach out to me.
If you have any questions, please call or email Lori Smart at
