Sterling Miss Contestants' Newsletter
3 WEEKS Out To Crowning!!!!!

Good moring and Happy Weekend!  Can you believe we are just three Saturdays away from pageant weekend? The time is really flying on our end, as we prepare to give you the best possible pageant experience ever!

A couple of   quick things to address again:  If you have not turned in your ad and payment to Nick, it needs to be done TODAY.  Every contestant is required to have an ad in the  souvenir  contestants' program. The ads were due Feb. 28th and is a requirement of competition, so this needs to be taken care of immediately in order for you to compete.  Please do not send this information to me.  Ad photo, ad wording and payment goes to Nick Nitkowski.  His email and his PayPal address are the same: [email protected]    We got to print this week. If your ad is not in the program, you will still need to pay the $65 ad fee before you can compete.

2nd is the photo we need for your Parade of Contestants' Page in the programThis is entirely different from your mandatory ad. However, you can use the same photo if you want. This will be used in the program, on our Facebook Page and on our website.  We need these in TODAY!   If you don't send in the photo for this, you will not be in the contestant lineup and the judges get the program lineup.

NOTE in SCHEDULING:  By mistake I stated in a previous newsletter that Little Miss contestants would be in panel interview.  The Petite and Little Miss will BOTH be in Round Robin Interviews!!!!!  Please disregard the previous info.
  Meet Sarah Sellers-
Sterling Teen Miss USA
Our Sterling Teen Miss USA is 18-year-old Sarah Sellers. This wonderful young lady has been a delight this year! We asked Sarah to share a few thoughts from her experiences with Sterling Miss USA
Sarah , what was your favorite part of Pageant Weekend last year?  I loved all the phases of competition but the casual wear/fun fashion optional was my favorite. I love modeling great clothes and it was fun to practice walking the runway.

What advice would you give the contestants who are competing this year?  It can be a very tiring weekend, so get plenty of rest before the pageant and stay hydrated before and throughout the weekend.

What would you tell the contestants to bring with them on pageant weekend?
It can get pretty cold in the ballroom, so I would definitely bring a light jacket. A soft blanket is good for downtime, too.

What was your favorite Sterling Miss Queens' activity?  I had a blast at the Queen's Night at the Ballpark. This was our first event and the first time that I really got to spend some time with my new sister queens. It was fun representing my Sterling Miss title and having photos made with all the little girls that were at the baseball park for Princess Night.

This money is collected per age division and is payable to the winner and alternates. The amount earned by each winner and alternate is determined by the number of entries int the division.

NOTE: Parents are to pick up their contestant's scholarship winnings and sign a form stating they have done so from the stage after the pageant. We do not hand the contestant the actual cash on the stage for fear it could be lost in the celebration.
