Congratulations to Lee Woo for being our July Athlete of the Month. Lee is going to be a freshman at Arapahoe High School this fall and one of her favorite subjects is gym because she gets to show that all of her training at Sterling’s Team Speed is paying off.
Lee plays competitive soccer and has recently joined the U15 Real Colorado ECNL team. Her goal is to be a starting defensive player and use her knowledge and speed to shut down opposing attackers. In addition to soccer, Lee has set another athletic goal for herself for the upcoming year. She hopes to make the varsity track team at Arapahoe. Not only does Lee have a passion for sports, but she also loves music and will be singing with the Arapahoe concert choir this year.
We asked Lee how Sterling’s Team Speed has made a difference in her training and here’s what she said, "Team Speed has helped me reach the majority of my goals, and has made me a stronger, better, more fit, smarter, soccer player. Cody helps me become the best I can be by creating his own workouts to help me personally as a soccer player. Team Speed is just an amazing place to become a better athlete! Everyone is so friendly and welcoming when you enter the doors.”

Lee has been training at Sterling’s Team Speed for several years, but has been training individually with Coach Cody Stratton for the past two years. In that time, we’ve seen Lee’s soccer career flourish. Not only did she recently make a top ranked team at Real Colorado, but she’s also made outstanding progress as an individual over the past couple years. Her hard work has certainly paid off, and we are so excited to see what this next year holds for her. Upon hearing that she had been selected as our July athlete of the month, Lee wanted to include a personal note of thanks to Cody for believing in her and helping her through everything.

Keep up the Hard work, Lee. Congratulations again from your family here at Sterling’s Team Speed!
