A very scarce title, in any condition.  Ours is complete as issued. The chromolitho plates are stunning. The author researched these patterns while in the Middle East in 1874 &1875. He (the Author) discovered 150 drawings of interlacing ornamentation, and  patterns in Syria and copied them.  Within this volume is an explanatory list of all 200 plates. The plates depict Islamic geometric designs: polygons, circles, stars, rosettes, squares, and other shapes. (5061)    $550.00
