As always, we mix our breads from scratch, shape them by hand, and bake them in our big German oven, right here in our bakery on Hardin Street. We bake only with unbleached and unbromated flour and never use any additives or preservatives. Come and taste.

Sweet Potato Struan Bread (properly pronounced "STRU-en") is a traditional Scottish harvest bread made with a jumble of ingredients: wheat flour, cornmeal, rolled oats, wheat bran, wild rice, buttermilk, poppy seeds, and sweet potatoes (everything but the kitchen sink!). Toast a thick piece and lightly butter it, and you'll taste every bit of what encompasses the harvest. The outside is crunchy, nutty, and deeply golden, and the inside is soft and moist, soaking up the butter. Give our Sweet Potato Struan a try this week!
Danish is also filled with the super-yummy cream cheese filling layered with Bella Rooster's orange marmalade mixed with house made orange curd. Both Danish are equally amazing, and this week is a perfect week to try both!
