Spring Picture Day is Monday, March 12

Lifetouch photographers will be at Stillmeadow tomorrow for spring picture day. 

Photo selection forms were distributed via student home folders last week. Use the form to choose a background design for your child's photo.  

Students should bring their completed forms to school on photo day and give them to the photographer.   

Photo packages will be produced for all students and delivered to Stillmeadow later this spring. After reviewing the photo packages, families may opt to purchase all or part of the photo package or return it to their child’s teacher.

Stillmeadow Safety & Security Meeting

The next General PFO Meeting is Tuesday, March 20. Stillmeadow Principal Angela Asaro will share information about Stillmeadow safety and security protocols, including recent changes to building access procedures.  

Mrs. Asaro will be joined by Stamford Public Schools Director of Safety and Security John Perrotta, who will address general questions related to district-wide safety and security initiatives. 

To accommodate as many families as possible, there will be two sessions of this meeting: 

• 8:15 am in the Media Center 
• 6:30 pm in the Media Center
Attend Multicultural Night on March 26

Join us for Multicultural Night on Monday, March 26 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Stillmeadow students and their families will share food, fashion, music, and activities from more than 20 countries and regions around the world.

This is a free event open to all Stillmeadow Families. Advance registration required.

Complete and return this form to your child's teacher by Friday, March 23. 
SBAC Testing Parent Information Session is March 15

Students in grades 3, 4, and 5 will be taking the Smarter Balanced Assessments (SBAC) in April and May. 

Stillmeadow staff will host a parent information session about SBAC on Thursday, March 15 at 1:00 pm. The workshop will provide important information about the SBAC and what parents can do to help their children prepare.

The workshop will take place in the media center.

Play and Learn Night for Incoming Kindergarten Families

Do you have a younger child who is entering kindergarten in the fall? Please join us at Stillmeadow on Monday, March 19 from 6:00 to 7:00 pm for Play and Learn Night!

Kindergarten teachers will show you and your child new math and literacy games to play at home. This night is open to all students entering kindergarten in fall 2018.
Order Your Yearbook Today!

The 2017-18 Stillmeadow Yearbook is on sale now. Order by April 16 to reserve your copy. Yearbooks are $20 each.

You must order in advance to receive a yearbook. We will NOT be selling yearbooks in June.

There are two ways to order:

  • Go to ybpay.lifetouch.com to order with a credit card. Stillmeadow's Yearbook ID Code is 5259618.

  • Complete and return the paper order form with payment (cash or check only). Paper forms were sent home with students.

Excellence in Education Awards Ceremony is March 22

Congratulations to Stillmeadow Media Specialist Jodi Nathanson, who has been nominated for the Stamford Public Education Foundation’s (SPEF) annual Educator’s Award.

Mrs. Nathanson and her fellow nominees for the Educator’s Award will be honored at the  Excellence in Education Awards  on Thursday March 22 , where the winner of a $1,000 classroom scholarship will also be announced. Proceeds from the event supports SPEF’s programs.
