NCLA

Northern Colorado Legislative Alliance

NCLA

The Colorado Legislature adjourned its work for the 2012 Legislative Session on Wednesday, May 9th.   In a split-majority legislative climate, business fared reasonably well during the session.   A full report to the Chambers on the outcomes of the 2012 Legislative Session will be forthcoming in the next couple of weeks.     Until then, track legislation of interest to you and your business by visiting NCLA's Legislative Tracking Report.

In the meantime, Governor John Hickenlooper called a rare Special Session of the Colorado General Assembly to begin on Monday, May 14th.  The call comes on the heels of a standoff between House Republicans and Democrats over the issue of civil unions in which numerous unrelated bills of interest to the business community were left stranded on the calendar resulting in their defeat.   This week's Under the Dome features the issues to be addressed during the Special Session as well an overview of those business issues left stranded on the calendar.
