Stock Systems Joins NLBMDA's
Manufacturers and Services Council (MSC)

WASHINGTON, DC -The National Lumber and Building Material Dealers Association (NLBMDA) announced today that Stock Systems is the newest member of the association's Manufacturers and Services Council (MSC). The council is composed of the leading building material manufacturers and service providers serving the LBM industry.

NLBMDA's MSC members are established industry leaders who supply products and services to lumber and building material dealers and regional chains across the nation. The dedicated members of the council share a commitment to promoting and enhancing the success of independent dealers and regional chains.

Founded in 2013 by successful yard owner/operators, Stock Systems (Stock), formerly Lead Tool, offers an industry-specific cloud based platform for dealers to run their operations from anywhere with an internet connection. Built entirely from scratch for the cloud, Stock's apps use cutting edge technology to deliver an excellent experience for customers and users alike. The platform has three distinct pieces which all integrate seamlessly: CRM and sales pipeline management (Stock Sales), inventory (Stock Inventory), logistics and order tracking (Stock Logistics). Stock also offers a public REST API which can be used to integrate into existing systems.

Stock is led by Chase Shiels, with co-founders Joakim Stensson and Dan Shiels. Joakim is a former marketing executive with decades of experience in technology and e-commerce in the building products industry. Previously, Dan owned and ran Charles F. Shiels & Company, a Cincinnati based distributor of imported & domestic hardwoods with dry kiln facilities and a custom millwork operation. There, Chase oversaw inventory and equipment management and Dan served as President & Chairman of the board.

"We're absolutely thrilled to be partnering with NLBMDA. They're a top notch organization and we look forward to bringing their dealers a solution that's been designed and built - not white labeled or outsourced - for them by actual owner operators. The sea change in customer preferences is just beginning, and the rate at which preferences change is accelerating," said Chase Shiels.
