Stop Abuse For Everyone Fundraiser at Respawn Tactical Laser Tag
Stop Abuse For Everyone had a very successful two day fundraising event at Respawn Tactical Laser Tag. SAFE talked to community members about underserved domestic violence victims, handed out informational flyers, brochures, and held a raffle for guests attending the event. Eyewitness News came and and interviewed SAFE's Executive Director.

Stop Abuse For Everyone would like to thank all of those who participated in our fundraising event and a special thanks to Raspawn for allowing us to hold the fundraiser.
Domestic Violence Articles

By The Current on 10/31/2017

"... According to the National Coalition for Domestic Violence, one in four men have been physically abused — slapped, pushed or shoved — by an intimate partner, and one in seven have been severely physically abused — choked, burned, etc.— by an intimate partner at some point in their lifetime. This is not acceptable.

Men tend not to speak up about domestic violence the same way women might because of the social repercussions. They fear that they could be taunted for “being a wimp” and not “handling their girl” or even told they are stronger than her and should be able to defend themselves. This is not true. ..."

"... Tara said the study did not examine dating violence, but early marriages are more likely to result in domestic violence. Victims also may not be emotionally, mentally or developmentally ready for a serious relationship and may be entering into one too soon, according to Tara. ..."

Bullying

By WGRZ on 11/06/2017

"... The data reinforces an audit issued this fall by State Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli, who found that many schools were not following reporting guidelines under New York's anti-bullying law. The Dignity for All Students Act, known as DASA, took effect in 2012 and requires schools to report "material incidents" of bullying to the New York State Education Department. ..."
