50 years after the Civil Rights Act was signed, Mexican American Studies courses do not formally exist in Texas schools. Join us April 8, 2014 in Austin, Texas to end that discrimination.
50 yrs laters & Mexican Americans are Still Waiting

LBJ taught in a Mexican Only school in Cotulla, TX. 50+ years later, there's still not a single official course to convey this rich Texas, American, & Mexican American History.

April 8-10 2014, the LBJ Presidential Library in Austin, Texas host Presidents Obama, Bush, Carter, and Clinton as part of a Civil Rights Summit to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.  That same day the Librotraficantes and our statewide coalition descend on Austin to demand the Texas State Board of Education (SBOE) mark the 50th anniversary of the Civil Rights Act by stamping out one of the last vestiges of the discrimination the law was intended to defeat. We want MAS in Texas! Rally Tuesday, April 8, 12:30pm William B. Travis (WBT) State Office Building 1701 North Congress Avenue Austin, TX  78701

Tell Bahorich To Vote For MAS
The Cesar Chavez movie has inspired us and opened our eyes. Si Se Puede!

If we sound impassioned, it's because we're conveying this to you the same week that the CESAR CHAVEZ movie is released nationally. It is eye-opening and inspiring.

Cesar Chavez was a great leader who organized our community to overcome great odds. And he did it without a smart phone. We need you to use your phone right now.
