Dear Friends,

The 2015 street sweeping season officially begins this Wednesday, April 1st.

Though the Department of Streets and Sanitation started street sweeping early this year to address the debris that accumulated this winter, April 1st will be the first day on which parking restrictions are enacted on residential streets.

In Lincoln Park and Old Town, each residential street is swept approximately once per month.

You may click here to view the 43rd ward street sweeping schedule.

It is important to note the Department of Streets and Sanitation will be carrying out street sweeping under the old ward boundaries until May 18th.

In May,   aldermen will be sworn in under new ward boundaries and the Department of Streets and Sanitation will begin operating under these boundaries at this time. The schedule for May 19th through the end of November will be published on my website as soon as it becomes available.

For new residents of the 43rd ward who previously resided in the 32nd ward, your street will be swept according to the 32nd ward schedule. Please click here to identify your 32nd Ward street sweeping section and click here for the schedule.

To avoid receiving a citation and to ensure street sweepers are able to effectively clean our streets,  please be mindful of the street sweeping schedule and orange "No Parking" signage placed on your street.

The greater cooperation we have, the more effectively the Department of Streets and Sanitation can sweep your streets. Thank you for being a good neighbor!

Sincerely,

Michele Signature
