Beach House / Best Coast Crazy Prize Giveaway
Here's the deal: come down to the San Jose Streetlight on Tuesday, May 15th. When you purchase either the CD or LP of either the new Beach House album Bloom or Best Coast's The Only Place, you'll be given a raffle ticket (tickets given out for purchases made between 10am and 7:45pm).
At 8pm a drawing will take place... the winner of the drawing will receive a Best Coast autographed LP & poster, a limited edition Beach House glow-in-the-dark 12" single, the Beach House Record Store Day 45, and a Sub Pop t-shirt and CD sampler! BE AWARE: You have to be present at the 8pm drawing to win! There will also be Best Coast 7"s and Beach House posters given away with purchase, while supplies last. See you at the store!
Sigur Ros Valtari Hour
On Thursday, May 17th, the Santa Cruz and San Jose stores will be hosting the Sigur Ros Valtari Hour at 7pm. We'll be playing the new Sigur Ros album Valtari (out May 29th) for your eager ears to soak in, and that's not all. Anyone who comes down to the store for the listening party will be entered into a drawing to win a TEST PRESSING of the Valtari LP, a copy of the highly sought after and very sold out Sigur Ros Record Store Day exclusive Hvarf/Heim on clear vinyl, and an 11"x14" print of the album cover. Yep. Maybe you'll be the lucky one!

The second bout of the 2012 season is a double-header featuring the both the Killabytes and the Dot.Kamikazes. At 6:00pm the Dot.Kamikazes will take on the Bay Area Derby Girls' Richmond Wrecking Belles. Then at 8:00pm, the KillaBytes will play the Mendo Mayhem. It's general seating so get there when doors open at 5:30pm to get yourself a good seat. Tickets are also available for sale at the San Jose Streetlight Records.
The Record Swap returns
The San Jose Streetlight is hosting it's 2nd Annual Record Swap on Saturday, June 2nd, from 10am-2pm in the back parking lot. They are now accepting vendor applications. For info, email paige@streetlightrecords.com.
