Hello,

School is out, the weather is heating up and most people are spending a lot more time with their friends and family . The news has published a number of articles lately about the alarming statistics around drug addictions and overdoses in the United States. Facts cannot be ignored; we have an epidemic in this country. Historically, the month of June marks an increase in the number of addictions treatment admissions. If you or someone you love is held captive by addiction, don't wait another day to seek help.

Knowing what to expect during the early days of recovery can ease the submission to a sober lifestyle. My door is always open; call or email me if you want to talk about the recovery process.
 Ha
My best,

"I made the right decision in surrendering to a recovery lifestyle. I certainly encountered challenges in the beginning, but the staff at Next Step showed me nothing but love and empowered me to see the importance of staying clean and sober."

Ziplining, hiking to waterfalls & swimming holes, white water & small raft trips and tubing on the French Broad River are all activities we have scheduled for our upcoming outdoor adventures. The guys often talk about how important these adventures are in their recovery journeys, and how much they look forward to them.

Next Step Recovery is a structured addiction recovery program for men 18 years of age or older who are recovering from substance abuse and mental health. Men join our transitional living community because they are committed to working on their own recovery and helping others do the same.

"As parents of a young man who is struggling with addiction, it has been gut wrenching to say the least. After several inpatient treatments and other facilities, Next Step Recovery has been a godsend to us, as well as to our son.

Next Step Recovery is committed to helping their residents transition into a normal, addiction-free life. They do this by providing life-skills training and requiring several AA meetings each week. The program is designed to give these men back their pride and dignity.

We have seen a change in our son. Probably the biggest difference with Next Step is they care. Susan and the staff have a place in their hearts for their residents, and they care about them. They want them to be successful. They have always been there for us and my son—anytime we needed them. They understand what the residents and their families are going through.

You will not find a more caring, well-equipped, or safer place than Next Step Recovery. God bless the staff and their work there."
