Appreciative Inquiry Facilitator Training

The Appreciative Inquiry Facilitator Training (collaborate2AIFT) is an intense four day course in which you will develop the basic capabilities that an AI facilitator should have:
  • Anticipate the complete problem-solving and  decision making process;
  • Practice choosing the best language (words) for facilitating AI within a particular culture; 
  • Utilize procedures the support both the group's social and cognitive processes; 
  • Remain neutral regarding content issues and values; and
  • Respect the group or organization's need to understand and learn from the Appreciative Inquiry process

This AI foundations course includes mini-lectures, experiential learning (individuals, pairs, trios, small and large group) as well as auditory and visual materials to enhance the learning experience. Topics in this course include, but are not limited to:

  • History of Appreciative Inquiry;
  • Theories of human behavior and change;
  • Theories of organizational behavior and change;
  • Changing Paradigms;
  • Approaches to Organizational Change and Problem Solving;
  • Principles and Processes of Appreciative Inquiry
  • Research supporting Appreciative Inquiry (i.e. social constructionism, new sciences, positive psychology, power of metaphors)

Hosting Opportunities Available 
We are always seeking host organizations throughout the world to host any of our trainings (Appreciative Inquiry Facilitator Training (AIFT), Department Chair Institute (DCI), and Leadership Development Institute(LDI)). To show our gratitude, host organizations will receive two complimentary registrations for a training held on their site when minimum enrollment is met.

 

Host organizations may limit the training to people at their institution or it can be open to others. If the training is open, Company of Experts will partner with the host organization to help promote the training.
