Are You Stressed Out?
It's normal to be anxious and concerned during times like these. In a pandemic, many will feel anxious and cooped up from staying home or from having to go to work. The uncertainty of all that weighs heavy.
First, some assurance: Let's abide by the
critical precautions and stay inside, if at all possible. But know, we will get through this. Second, here are some resources to make it easier:
- Telehealth is important and convenient now. We are fully equipped to help you for a single session to check in, one or two sessions to make a stress plan, or a series to help stabilize and make the most of these unusual times. We use privacy-protected video conferencing through Zoom as well as Doxy.me. Phone sessions, without video, are also an option.
- Schedule your appointment by email ([email protected]) or call (312) 925-5176 giving us your availability. Cameron, our new assistant will contact you to arrange and confirm your time.
- If you would like to use BCBS PPO insurance, please contact Gary with your insurance card info and birth date. [email protected] or (708) 267-5677. Also, call your insurance to make certain your BCBS policy covers telehealth. All policies are different. If your BCBS PPO does not cover telehealth (highly unlikely), please still call me. I will help you. It appears BCBS has some special fee-sharing offers right now to help, check with them.
- Enjoy our special consultation fee for new and former coaching or psychotherapy clients who are sponsoring themselves (versus their company) and do not have insurance: One-hour session for $95 total. Offer valid until April 30th.
- Wearable help. Devices can make a big difference. I'm very impressed with one new neuro-modulation brain training tool that clients are increasingly using between sessions. It's called Bellabee. I've seen success for improving sleep, anxiety, focus and Parkinson's. Have a few units for a special fee of $120 plus shipping, contact me directly for that. Or, order it from my website for $199. I spend a lot of time curating brain training equipment and this is the best wearable device I've seen, especially for the price.
- If you are interested in doing neurofeedback remotely, I have options to help you. These would entail using neurofeedback equipment from your own home with me monitoring your progress. If this sounds interesting, let me know via email and I'll send you more information.
- Free online meditation resources. In February, I did the "commit to sit" with the famous meditation teacher Sharon Salzberg, meditating each day of the month. She is an amazing teacher. Here is a link to another series she's in that's also free. Explore this network to support your breathing or meditation practice in a way that meets your needs.
- Immunity enhancement is an excellent idea during these times. I have been recommending MaryRuth's Liquid Midnight to ease into restorative sleep for awhile now. Clients, family and friends really like it. More recently, I started the Liquid Morning tasty elixir to keep energy higher during the day. Stress takes our energy and this has lots of B vitamins that vegan diets, especially, are lacking. Can't wait to try her Elderberry Drops for fighting inflammation and infection. Great for immunity.
This is the time to focus on the good habits to stay healthy. That includes exercise, drinking plenty of water, getting lots of good rest, and supplements. I also encourage you to practice gratitude or appreciation. It will help your immunity and mood. Be grateful for all that's good in life, the people and events who have helped you become your best self. Also, reach out and help others.
We are so much stronger together. If I can help you in any way, please don't hesitate to reach out.
With great appreciation. Stay safe and well.
