May 26, 2015
Sorry I haven't written...

Summer is just around the corner as is  evident with temperatures rising, proms & graduations, picnics and out of town visitors. 2015 has been a busy time for our members - new buildings and beginnings, saying goodbye to some revered industry icons, purchases of new technology and opportunities for growth. Some things change, some things stay the same :)

It's also been a busy time around PPI "World HQ" as we kick into high gear! (you can read more about all below)

- PrintROCKS student poster design scholarship competition exploded with amazing entries and winners.
- 125 FREE Entries into the 2015 Premier Print Awards (Benny's)... Saving members $12,500!
- PrintROCKS #8 is OPEN
- Addition of New PPI Partners to save businesses and individuals money, increase company profits
- Networking and fundraising events in Portland and Seattle raising over $10,000 and bringing together almost 200 individuals celebrating PRINT.
- MORE upcoming events in June with EFI & August with Daniel Dejan & Trish Witkoski
- FREE (or discounted) studies, reports and resources to bring MORE value to those PPI serves.
- LOTS of upcoming database work, social media outreach and added resources on our website: ppiassociation.org

Last week I attended the  PIA Print Leadership Summit
in Minnesota along with many successful print and communication professionals around the U.S. I was inspired by the emphasis on marketing, sales, customer-oriented business models as the focus for the future.

Have you pulled out your record player?
ONE of the BEST conversations I had was with Jack Sloughton,
Sloughton Printing Co.   Los Angeles. OK - he has had some of THE coolest clients. Name the album, he's printed the jacket. We've seen what was old, come back. #neversaydie.

I  will write more in our PRINTLANDIA blog in the coming weeks and be better about writing, but if you'd like to chat about the conference or see the slides from any presentation, drop me a note, give me a call! That's why we're here :)

Have an AWESOME WEEK!

Cheers -

*NEW* EXPANDED COC Savings for small & large firms!
FSC Logo

COC / RACG Program welcomes all levels

Although not as in high demand as in past years, we continue to see FSC Chain of Custody Certification as a requirement of many educational institutions, as well as other organizations concerned about our forests.

For many print providers, the cost and discipline required in order to be part of the supply chain is difficult to justify, but that may no longer be true. As a member of PPI, REGARDLESS of your company size, we can provide technical support (control forms, logo approval, and planning) as well as the audit through well-recognized agencies (Rainforest Alliance or SCS) for a single fee at discounted pricing - including travel and FSC fees.

So if you are currently enrolled in FSC's Chain of Custody program, or contemplating FSC certification, contact Jules at PPI.  We'll be glad to outline our "Small Group" program as well as our just created "Large" printer program, and provide you significant savings!
