Fingers crossed you are all having an awesome day. The last month of the season has just finished and it was fun to be out guiding for most of May. Despite the unpredictable weather, fish were potted and caught by all my clients.
The other day I woke up and everything was white the snow had arrived, so that put a halt to finishing off the painting at the front of the shop, hopefully it will all melt soon.
 
My last happy client - the UV Nutjob fly did the trick, fooling this big boy.
   
INSPIRATION 
Big boys toys! A creation comes to life!
A week was put aside to work on some new designs and re-vamp (pimp up) a few old favorites. It was so much fun being at the vise, especially finishing off some big orders for some big saltwater flies, they are always fun. The most fun came from receiving some new fly tying materials and huge tools for creating big stuff on 4/0 hooks. I quickly ran out of materials and I'm now waiting on a mega box of materials arriving any day now. 
THE NEW WEB SITE 
 
It was great to get the feedback on the new web site as 99% of people liked it - which is awesome , pleasing everybody is nearly impossible. Lots of people are asking who did the amazing fish art on the Browse By Species page - well again I have to take my hat off to my artist friend Mr. Martin Simpson for that, he is so talented.

I need some more great photos from you guys and girls of some grip and grin shots for the photo gallery page. So if you some great shots of you with a fish that you caught using one of my designs, please send it through here.

Here is another new addition to the shop wall and my house from Jake Keeler. The first one arrived for the shop and I just had to purchase another for my living room wall. It is very different from what most other fishing artists do. I like the way the artist has come in from a different angle portraying the standard grip and grin shot. There are better photos of this piece of work if you zap the link.

YOU are going to love this next piece of info. The web shop is going to be open all winter! Yes, that means for the first time in all these years the web shop will be open for you to shop till you drop.
Ela & Milo are shipping me away to sleep in a van and promote Stu's Superior Flies and work on new fly designs overseas. So I have no choice in the matter that Milo will stay make snowmen and send out orders and take bookings. 
Is this not great news for you guys (and me as well). You have no excuses now and you also do not have to wait until Sept for your orders.
