Rummage Sale Volunteer Information


Our Annual Rummage Sale Fundraiser is four weeks away on June 1-3! We are trying a few new things this year to increase our sales and to make the process run more smoothly. Check out the details below!
WHY VOLUNTEER??
Our Annual Rummage Sale gives students the opportunity to work and earn money that will be used to fund trips and events that the student ministry participates in, such as mission trips and camp.
VOLUNTEER GUIDELINES
With the amount of time and volunteers needed to make this event run smoothy, we have created some guidelines to volunteering that will ensure all students and parents have the same information.
  • All students, 5th through 12th grade in 2016-2017, may volunteer
  • Parent/guardians may work with their student and earn money
  • Younger and older siblings may not volunteer
  • Elementary students may not volunteer (4th grade and below)
  • Volunteers can shop early! 
    • Thursday, June 1, 4pm
    • No sales prior to Thursday, June 1
  • Volunteers must choose the hours they will work through signup.com (see instructions in the "How to Volunteer" block)
  • Volunteers
    may work the
    following number of shifts:
    • two (2) drop-off shifts 
    • two (2) sorting shifts
    • one (1) sale day (may be broken up into 1/2 on Friday and 1/2 on Saturday)
    • We may open up more shifts, as needed
If a student is volunteering but is not working,
they will be signed out and a parent will be called to pick them up.

SHOPPING DAYS
We host the Rummage Sale for  TWO FULL days.
 
Additionally, we have a PRE-SALE day. To shop on the pre-sale day, a $5 pre-sale pass may be purchased at all campuses on May 21 and 28 or purchased at the door.

DONATIONS NOT ACCEPTED
There are a few items we are not able to accept for drop-off this year. Please help us pass this information to those that will be making donations.

  • No undergarments
  • Gently-used clothes only
  • Flat Screen TVs only
