Looking ahead this month, our 30 Day Beach Body Challenge concludes, we have Father's Day on Sunday 17th, International Yoga day on Thursday 21st and yet another free BYCV Barre Workshop on Friday 22nd!

Looking further ahead to July and August, notice also that there will be a change to the schedule as our days get more sunshine and we switch to our summer schedule. See below for more details.

30 Day Beach Body Challenge is nearing an end!

Tuesday, June 12th  the 30 Day Beach Body Challenge concludes. A big congratulations to all of you who achieved the lofty  goal of completing 30 (or more!) classes in 30 days!  You are   amazing!

If you didn't quite make the 30 day goal, we hope it inspired you to get in more classes and achieve a more regular and stronger practice.

International Yoga Day

We celebrate this day of international peace and cooperation with over 180 other countries on  June 21st, the summer solstice. 

Yoga embodies unity of mind and body, thought and action, restraint and fulfillment, harmony between human beings and nature.

We hope to see you participate in one of our Bikram Yoga classes  on this special day.
Free BYCV Barre Form Workshop

Join the BYCV Barre team on the evening of Friday June 22nd from 7:00pm-9:00pm for a  free  "Form Workshop".

The focus will be on "Thigh and Seat." Learn good form in some of our favourite exercises.

For a more lifted seat and longer leaner thighs, we'll.......

CPR and First Aid Course Completed

Yes we did!  All of our teachers did! They recently renewed (or obtained for the first time) their CPR and First Aid training.

Why? Not only because it's the responsible thing to do, but also because we care about our studio community sooooooo much!

To further support our teachers and our studio commuity as a whole, we also invested in  an AED (Automated External Defibrillator), which you'll see mounted on the wall behind the front desk...hopefully doing nothing more than gathering dust!  Just be careful not to fall asleep during class...you might get a shock!

We highly recommend that you get CPR and First Aid training as well. A few hours out of your day to do the course, could save the life of someone you love!

Summer Schedule

Please note that for the months of July and August, there will be no evening (7:00pm/7:30pm) classes  on weekdays or afternoon (3:30pm) classes on weekends.

These changes allow studio staff and students alike, in other words, our entire studio community, to make the most of the (hopefully!) beautiful summer days ahead.

1.   Hot Hatha?

Surprise! It's your lucky day. If you are taking any of our Bikram Yoga classes, you are in fact practicing "Hot Hatha Yoga". Who knew?!

Hatha is a branch of yoga meaning "force." "Ha" represents the sun, and "tha" the moon. The practice of Hatha yoga aiming to join, or balance these two energies.

Bikram Yoga is an offshoot of this traditional yoga created by Bikram Choudry that consists of 26 Hatha Yoga postures and 2 breathing exercises. The one princiole difference between traditional Hatha Yoga and Bikram Yoga IS  the heated room.    

2.  Men's shorts for sale.

We hear you.  So hard to find.  Let us know if you have any specific requests or Iain will come in with a truck load of speedos!  But of course in the mean time, check out the styles we do have in stock on the bottom, left rack of the retail boutique clothing section. We will also try to source some different styles for you.
