About Universidad Católica de Valencia

UCDV
UCV

Founded by the Church in Valencia, the Universidad Católica de Valencia, "San Vicente Mártir", has established itself as a centre of academic excellence and creativity, which seeks to place knowledge at the disposal of society. UCV was founded as a university in December 2003 at the Feast of the Immaculate Conception.

The university's origins lie further back in time. It has grown out of the pioneering work carried out since the 1950s by the Edetania Foundation Group, the University School of Nursing, "Nuestra Señora de los Desamparados", and the Faculty of Business Studies.

UCV sees the expansion of its international links as a vital part of its continuing development. The university currently teaches 18 degree courses in six faculties and one university school. Over the coming years it is probable that many courses will be fully taught in English. 2012 sees the introduction of the first two bachelor programmes in English: Dentistry and Nursing.

Greetings!

You are being sent this email because you mentioned to us that you are interested in studying dentistry abroad.

We have recently started working with a Spanish university that has a limited number of places available for British students in 2012.

If you have not been successful in obtaining a place at dental school this year, or if you prefer the idea of living in Spain, then please have a look at the opportunity to study in Valencia.

Why Study Dentistry at UCV?

Most British and Irish students choosing to go to Valencia have not been successful in getting in to a dental school at home. However, we believe that studying in Valencia should not be seen as a second choice at all because it offers you the following advantages:

  1. Excellent Quality of Education leading to a recognised qualification to work as a dentist
  2. Reasonable entry requirements for British students in 2012
  3. Live in one of the most affordable cities in Western Europe
  4. Learn Spanish, the second most widely spoken language in the world
  5. Fantastic weather, quality of life etc.

How do you apply?

Students who are interested in studying dentistry at UCV can apply by contacting us and asking for full details. There are only a very limited number of places available for entry in 2012 but any student who has or who expects to have BBB in relevant A levels should be able to gain a place.

From 2013 there will be an entrance exam for students but it is too late this year to introduce this for entry in 2012.

We have already confirmed our first students for entry in 2012 even though we only finalised details of the application process last week. We anticipate that all places on the dentistry degree will be filled by 1st June 2012 so if you are interested, we urge you to contact us as soon as possible. We will be delighted to help you find your place to study dentistry and to arrange for you to visit Valencia and UCV if necessary.

Best regards,
