Max's Healthy Tip of the Week:

Before you say you'll exercise tomorrow,

think about this.

Exercising increases your body's ability to repair its cells thereby helping to prevent premature aging. And not only does it help to pump toxins out of the body, it encourages the growth of new brain cells.

So get to that gym, or to the park, or walk around the block or dance around your house. Just move!

MARC WEISS TALKS ABOUT FINANCES
EXPERT FINANCIAL ADVICE FROM MARC WEISS
66% of Americans say they are worried about not having enough money for retirement...

As life expectancy increases, the risk that retirees will outlive their assets is a growing challenge.  Thus, ensuring income throughout retirement requires difficult choices.

In a recent Report to the Chairman, Special Committee on Aging, U.S. Senate, the GAO recommended that retirees systematically draw down their savings and convert a portion of their savings into an income annuity to cover necessary expenses.  The GAO believes the annuity is preferable in establishing a monthly income instead of taking lump sum withdrawals to pay monthly expenses.

READ MORE HERE ABOUT INCOME ANNUITIES

Today, companies selling annuities can illustrate lifetime annuity income for participants.  Now, participants can now choose which company provides the better features and benefits for their investment.  After all, in today's economy how else can successful people plan their retirement years to be free of fear over running out of money?

Call Marc for answers and solutions to your financial questions.

THE HISTORY OF JAZZ
Tuesdays, February 17 thru March 24 from 1:00 - 2:30 pm

This course provides a wide-angled and narrowly focused examination of jazz in both its musical and cultural dimensions.  Jazz is the birthplace of the musical style that gave American music its mythical and real past. It's rich, migratory culture made up of different regional styles and dialects that has been able to revive itself throughout the 20th and 21st centuries.  Apart from its seminal influence in the history of rock music and contemporary styles, jazz is itself on of the most durable traditions in music history.

These 6 classes will be presented by James Domine, Conductor of the San Fernando  Valley Symphony Orchestra.  Fee for the course is $35.00.   For information and reservations call 818-880-6461
