Max's Healthy Tip of the Week:

Remember that laughter is the best medicine. It has been proven that humor mitigates stress. Start looking at that glass half full and laugh at life's smaller problems rather than taking them to heart.

Consider this - 5 minutes of stress can lower your immune system for up to 6 hours!

No one can afford that!

GET THE FREE DOWNLOAD OF
WEIGHT-LOSS COACH, ORNA PURKIN'S BOOK
My friend Orna Purkin has written an amazing book about weight loss and a  healthier life - "The Yummier You: 7 Secrets to a Happy, Healthy, and Yummy Life."

She's offering a free download (LIMITED TIME ONLY)    CLICK HERE

This is my review for this lovely informative book:  "I love this book. It's sensible, it's "doable," it's healthy, and it works. And it works because it comes from the heart. Orna Purkin lived her younger life overweight and very unhappy not being sure how to win over the scale. When she finally saw what could lead her to the results she was looking for, she went after it wholeheartedly and she won. She shares that with her readers in a very basic informative manner. She proves that anyone can not only lose weight but gain health as well.  You too, will love this amazing book. And what better a time to read, share, or gift it than in a New Year!"

3 SOCIAL SECURITY FACTS YOU NEED TO KNOW IN 2015
For the most part, Social Security is a straightforward concept. You pay taxes to the program throughout your working life, and then, upon reaching retirement age, you collect monthly benefits based in large part on the amount you paid into the system over that career.

Still, there are small shifts to the program every year, and 2015 will be no different. Let's go over three developments to watch for in 2015 if you're one of the millions of Americans either paying into or receiving money from Social Security.

PAIN IN YOUR UPPER BACK?  SHOULDERS?
LOWER BACK?

Have you tried a TENS unit?

TENS stands for transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation.  Many people are finding relief from certain types of pain using these small devices.  Instead of using painkilling medications, try using one of these alternative types of treatment.  And there are no side effects using a TENS unit as there are when taking medicine for pain.

And in some cases, the use of these devices could help to cut down on the use of excessive pain medication.  I personally have found amazing results using one of these units.

Go see Tal at Topanga Plaza on the lower level at his kiosk across from Victoria's Secret and try one of these pain relieving units.   You will be amazed how efficiently they will help to relieve some types of discomfort

WOW
Did you know that you can avoid people blinking their eyes when taking pictures by telling them to close their eyes and open them on the count of  three.
See next week for more WOW hints.
