MARC WEISS TALKS ABOUT FINANCES
EXPERT FINANCIAL ADVICE FROM MARC WEISS
What Is An Annuity?

An annuity is a long-term savings plan that can be used to accumulate assets on a tax-deferred basis for retirement and/or to convert retirement assets into a stream of income.  While both are insurance contracts, an annuity is the opposite of life insurance:

Life insurance provides financial protection against the risk of dying prematurely.

An annuity provides financial protection against the risk of living too long and being
without income during retirement.

There are two basic types of annuities, depending on whether you need to accumulate assets for retirement or whether you're at or near retirement and interested in creating a lifetime retirement income:

Deferred Annuities
A deferred annuity has two distinct phases: the accumulation phase and the income phase.

During the accumulation phase, you contribute premiums to the annuity, where they accumulate on a tax-deferred basis until needed for income purposes.

During the income phase, the value of the annuity is converted into income payments.

Immediate Income Annuities
An immediate income annuity is purchased with a single premium and income payments begin immediately or shortly after the premium is paid.

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW

BEFORE LOANING MONEY TO FAMILY

Avoid bitter feelings and awkward family get-togethers by following this money-loaning advice.

READ MORE HERE

PAIN IN YOUR UPPER BACK? SHOULDERS? LOWER BACK?

Have you tried a TENS unit?

TENS stands for transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation. Many people are finding relief from certain types of pain using these small devices. Instead of using painkilling medications, try using one of these alternative types of treatment. And there are no side effects using a TENS unit as there are when taking medicine for pain.

And in some cases, the use of these devices could help to cut down on the use of excessive pain medication. I personally have found amazing results using one of these units.

Go see Tal at Topanga Plaza on the lower level at his kiosk across from Victoria's Secret and try one of these pain relieving units.   You will be amazed how efficiently they will help to relieve some types of discomfort.
