HOPE CONNECTION BEREAVEMENT GROUPS
HOPE Connection is a non-profit organization that offers on-going Spousal Loss and Parent Loss support groups in Encino and West Los Angeles.

Their groups, facilitated by licensed therapists, have been offered to the community for more than 30 years.

Spousal Loss support groups are offered on Tuesday evenings in WLA and Thursday evenings in Encino.  A Spousal Loss Day Group is now being formed.

Parent Loss groups are offered on Tuesday evenings in Encino and on Wednesday in WLA.

AMATEUR HAM RADIO STUDY & EXAM SESSION
Sunday, October 19 from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm

The public is invited to attend a one-day Amateur Ham Radio Study and Exam Session for an Entry Level FCC License.  .   

They do the classes quarterly, and hold a few classes a year for organizations. The follow-on classes supplement the licensing class - to explain what radios do, which ones would be best for particular purposes, and then they train people how to actually use the radios.   For further information go to WEBSITE 

The session will take place at the Lost Hills Sheriff's Station and there is a $50.00 class fee that includes class expenses, exam fee and lunch.

Cindy Walkov is a certified and experienced Zumba Gold instructor and has been teaching  Zumba Gold to Seniors at a senior home in Reseda for over 2 years.

This class is specifically for seniors and is a slower-paced Zumba class. The steps salsa, mambo, cha-cha, the twist and bending, stretching, marching, and other dance-type routines that are fun and energizing.  The music is Latin, international and American music and includes some current tunes as well as oldies that seniors love. The class is about 45 min in length.
