I PRAY you had a WONDERFUL Thanksgiving!!??
I actually enjoyed my AFTER Tday feast more than turkey and dressing!
It is 5:50 AM and I have been up with Amanda since 3 AM-just another brick/day in my life
I had 4 Krystal hamburgers-EXTRA onions, pickles and mustard, medium, HOT french fries with PLENTY of salt, and a DIET coke-YUM YUM!!!
She is SUFFERING through ANOTHER long night-uncomfortable and sleepless.
I try to ease her pain but as soon as I figure out what she wants/needs, she soon enough has another issue to cry about.
Such is the life of a severely brain injured human being.
I long for and WISH I could "FIX" it and heal her-make everything alright in her world'
So MUCH suffering on this world!!!!
My son Joshua said something strange to me in my visit with him Friday on death row.
He told me of his disappointment with my "JOEL OSTEEN" sermons and the way that I too often depict my life.
Now, I actually enjoy listening to Joel as he has some very positive and encouraging sermons.
He is all about the POSITIVE!!
His hair is perfectly coiffured, he has a pretty wife, and healthy children.
He has a successful Church that seats 30 thousand, a world-wide ministry, revenue from book and tape sales, a multi-million dollar home and income.
AND, I have often joked that I wished I had the life of a Joel Osteen and/or Kenneth Copeland.
Surely the writer of Hebrews was thinking of Mr. Osteen when he penned these Words:

A dear friend once told me that when we ask how another is doing to always ask THREE TIMES:
HOW ARE YOU DOING??
HOW ARE YOU DOING??
HOW ARE YOU DOING???
Ya see, the first time most of us would reply, "I'm doing fine or great!"
The second time the one questioned might hesitate and perhaps soberly reply,
"
WELL.....????"
Then, on the third inquiry, then and only then will the questioned maybe tell the TRUTH:

Well, since you really want to know......"
My son Joshua is SO excited!!
The prison has given all the inmates a small computer tablet and he can now download music, games, send and receive Emails.
He is in Heaven!!
BUT, he also soberly said, "The best day in here is still the worst day!!"
NO Joel Osteen for him!
As I returned to my seat AFTER another futile attempt to "FIX" Amanda, I heard the Voice of our Savior speaking gently to me!!!

As the song says, "I CAN ONLY IMAGINE..............................."
It is my duty and my privilege to share my suffering with you AND my privilege and duty to share in YOUR SUFFERING also.
A couple of true stories today to encourage and bless you.
My dear friend, Pastor Rick, had the duty and privilege of attending the execution of a Georgia inmate recently.
The condemned man asked that Pastor Rick be the last face he saw on earth.
As they injected the lethal chemicals in his veins, he was singing AMAZING GRACE, as he uttered his LAST words:
"
I'LL SEE YOU, JESUS, IN A JUST A FEW MOMENTS!!!"
Georgia is on a death penalty roll!
There has been a torrent of execution this year.
The last man executed denied any appeals-longing for blessed death more than existing in a 6X9 cell.
Last, but not least, is the next man up for execution.
He, like Joshua, was so excited about receiving a computer tablet and invested ALL his money is purchasing access to it.
When they finally passed them out last week, he only had access to it for two hours before they whisked him away to DEATH WATCH-a special cell in solitary assigned to await his soon execution.
Beloved, Jesus IS coming!!!
HOLD ON MY CHILD-JOY COMES IN THE MORNING!!!
7 o'clock AM awaits me and I can give Amanda her medicine and perhaps she and I can catch a couple of hours of sleep????
The sun WILL come up in the morning and another day of LIFE awaits.
Only Jesus knows YOUR suffering!!!
