Dear Herb Enthusiast,
November - a time to reflect and give thanks for the Earth's bounty and the blessings of family and friends. It's the season that takes us from the garden to the kitchen; a time for comfort food and warming spices. Join us for free demos about spices and creative ways to incorporate them into your meals. The next one will take place Saturday, November 26th.
In the shop, we have Green Superfood flavors like Berry & Acai, Goji Berry, and Cacao Chocolate Infusion - great for bumping up the nutrition in your smoothies.
Also look for new nature-inspired gifts from local artists including botanical jewelry, dream pillows, garden goddesses, felted angels & fairies, and more.
For the garden lover, we have adorable bluebirds that can handle the frost outside and cheer up a wintery lawn. We also have unique, hand-blown glass terrariums so you can create a tiny garden indoors.
Don't forget about your own homemade options when making your gift lists. This is the perfect time of year to make salves, syrups, and nourishing teas with dried herbs. You could treat yourself or someone you love to better health this year, and we are happy to help!

Curry
Curry powder is made of four very basic warming spices - coriander, turmeric, cumin, and fenugreek. We like to add clove and cardamom to our blend but other potential additions to personalize your curry blend with are cayenne, black pepper, chili powder, and even ginger.
To bring out even more flavor, you can roast the spices before blending them. Use Curry powder to spice up chicken, egg, and potato salads. Curry makes roasted vegetables delicious (especially cauliflower!) We also recommend trying it in squash soup, roast chicken, beef and fish. Curry powder is a delicious way to get these spices and their many health benefits into your diet. Bon Appetit!

" In the garden, Autumn is, indeed the crowning glory of the year, bringing us the fruition of months of thought and care and toil. And at no season, safe perhaps in Daffodil time, do we get such superb colour effects as from August to November."
