Sail Into Summer - RTI & Cowes Week
Sundown at The Sugar Store
The Sugar Store bar at Shepards Wharf Marina will be open and welcoming all RTI competitors and visiting yachtsmen over the weekend of The Round the Island Race in association with Cloudy Bay, on Friday, 30th June and Saturday, 1st July 2017.
Invitation to Cowes Week party
There are exciting changes taking place at Shepards Wharf Marina for this year’s Lendy Cowes Week regatta with a new event partner and the site rebranded as ‘Cowes at Shepards’.

To kick-start the week, we would like to invite all Cowes Harbour Moorings customers to join us at our ‘Cowes at Shepards’ opening party at 1930 on Friday evening, 28th July. We look forward to welcoming you there on the night!

There is even going to be a dedicated water taxi drop-off point at the heart of Shepards Wharf Marina, so that those moored in the harbour and on the river can more easily get to enjoy what’s on offer at the Marina, one of the official Lendy Cowes Week affiliate venues.

Please follow the  ‘Cowes at Shepards’ Facebook page  and keep checking the  ‘Cowes at Shepards’ website  for up-to-the-minute announcements!
Cowes Week water taxis
New for this year’s regatta, Cowes Water Taxis will be operating a taxi drop-off and pick-up in Shepards Wharf Marina - very useful for regatta competitors and visitors whose boats are moored in the harbour or on the River Medina and giving easy access to the Lendy Cowes Week entertainment and refreshments on offer at the Marina.

Explore the Medina Estuary
Walking or cycling around the Medina estuary is a wonderful way to enjoy this beautiful area, see local wildlife and discover some great places to eat and drink.

You might spot some of our resident or visiting birds. Often feeding along the water's edge is the little egret, which is bright white against the colours of the estuary. You may also hear the evocative call of the curlew or the distinctive single note of the oystercatcher when in flight or see the spectacular dive of a tern.

The Medina estuary circular route incorporates a crossing on the new floating bridge and is approximately 9 miles. The Folly, Island Harbour and Newport Harbour can all be accessed by boat to provide alternative starting or finishing points.

Every harbour user, both on and off the water, can help to reduce pollution and disturbance to wildlife. Please be aware of sensitive areas and local wildlife. Do not throw any litter or waste overboard. Reduce your speed, limit your wash and do not land or walk on the saltmarsh. Keep noise to a minimum. Thank you!

We can accommodate most visiting vessels in the harbour, with berths of up to 3m below chart datum on the fairway side of the Shepards Wharf Marina pontoons.
