STEWARDSHIP CAMPAIGN
It’s common for churches to see what’s been thoughtfully (or painfully) coined “the summer giving slump,” when giving declines for most churches between the months of May and August. Many churches, like CSMSG, see a 20% or more decrease in giving during these months due to members being on vacation, going to BBQs, traveling with family, etc. You can help CSMSG avoid “the slump” in two ways:

  • Pay your pledge in full now, instead of at the end of the year;

  • Send in those pledge payments you will miss while you are away this summer. You may give online at anytime, from anywhere. Go to www.csmsg.org, click on Stewardship, then click on Give Now.

In spite of the slump, God is at work at CSMSG this summer! We are gearing up for what is sure to be a spectacular fall. Thank you for your support! You may pick up a pledge card in the pew, narthex, or on the website at www.csmsg.org , or call the Church at 314.721.1502.
THE ST. GEORGE SOCIETY
Is The Church of St. Michael & St. George in your will?
We will be happy to assist you and your professional advisors as you explore planned giving options and can provide sample language. If you intend to include The Church of St. Michael & St. George in your legacy planning or have already done so, please contact Edgar Ellermann at [email protected] or Laurie Brown at [email protected] for a form so that we may acknowledge your generosity and include you in St. George Society celebrations.
Did you know that the people who assist the clergy by reading the lessons and helping to administer Communion are a part of the St. Paul Guild? These nine women and 14 men, all fellow parishioners, seek to deepen their faith by serving as readers and chalice bearers at the Sunday liturgies and the Daily Office. Reading the Bible well enables the congregation to hear God’s word with clarity and new understanding.
