Are you one of those people who feel like your summer isn't complete without attending a fun, rockin' concert?! If you are, look no further as we have two upcoming musical events for you to attend including our Summer Dance Party on 8/22 and Rock in the Redwoods on 9/6. Come out and enjoy good music, good food and good times for a GREAT cause.

 Congratulations to seven longtime YES campers who moved into camp leadership positions this summer as Counselors-In-Training and paid Camp Counselors! YES also transitioned 29 teens into camp Leader-In-Training programs. Many of these youth will be involved in YES' year-round Camp-to-Community program starting with the upcoming kick-off orientation and sea kayaking trip in early September. 
This summer YES sent 300 youth from Richmond and West County cities to one of seven different Bay Area summer camps. 65% of our kids were returning campers, many of whom are on their own leadership path to become camp counselors themselves. Rock in the Redwoods 9/6 Concert Benefit

 Join YES and local band, Little Marvin and the Gardeners (LMG) on Saturday, September 6, for an evening of high energy rock and roll and familiar dance covers at Coventry Grove, (500 Coventry Road) in the heart of Kensington.
Come lounge under the redwoods in this intimate amphitheater, enjoy dinner and drinks, and support YES!
Tickets are going fast, but are still available on Brown Paper Tickets for $40 per adult and $20 per child. Included in the cost is a free dinner provided by Venga Paella and desserts by Richmond's own Rubicon Bakery. All ticket, t-shirt, beer & wine sales will go to support YES camp and community programs. If interested in volunteering, please contact [email protected].

Come get your groove on this Friday, August 22nd as the YES Wellness Navigators put on a Summer Dance Party! The dance will take place at the Nevin Center (598 Nevin Ave.) in Richmond from 5-7PM. We will be boogying to the greatest hits from the 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s.
Wear your biggest Afro, your retired Madonna wear or bust out your Michael Jackson sequined glove! There will be a costume and dance contest and door prizes. We will serve healthy snacks and have a water bar. Bring the kids for this fun family event!
The YES Summer Dance Party is being supported by Safe Routes to School, the City of Richmond, and REACH.
