July 2017

Greetings World Cup Parents,

Summertime and the "living" is exciting here at World Cup Nursery School & Kindergarten's summer camp.  Our campers not only got to splash around in our mini water park, but they have been using their imagination to become entomologists, pirates, explorers and hula dancers.

During the first week, our little bug hunters searched the grounds high and low collecting insects and then made adorable houses to stash them in.  No need for exterminators at World Cup!   During our USA celebration week, they were party animals who decorated party hats and instruments, had parades and were much better behaved than our political parties.

During the third week, the poor campers were shipwrecked.  Fortunately, they used their map making and navigation skills to find their way back to World Cup.  Then it was off to the jungle where they went on a safari in search of their favorite (stuffed) animal.  After all that work, it was time for some rest and relaxation in the beautiful island of Hawaii. We are deep into the luau festivities while we make our fruit smoothies and join in a few games of beach party bingo and volleyball.  Aloha, Aloha!

The next few weeks will be just as exciting as campers go back in time to visit the dinosaurs, gear up to launch themselves into outer space and saddle up for some pony rides.  Oh to be a kid again!
Warm regards,

Roxanne Kaplan
Welcome to our 2017/2018 School Year
We want to welcome all students and parents to the 2017/2018 school year.
Our teachers and staff are excited to reconnect with some of our former families and to time_2_learn_vector.jpg meet our new families.   We believe that family engagement leads to student success and that is why we encourage open communication and collaboration between our teachers and parents.   Our teachers will partner with you to support each child's individual needs and support their social and academic success.  That is why we are confident that you and your child are going to have a great year here at World Cup.
See you in September!
School Class Assignments and Enrichment Programs
By now all parents of registered children should have received their teacher and classroom assignments along with an endless packet of required forms and handouts ... so much for our paperless society.  If you haven't received your packet, please contact the office at (914) 238-9267 as soon as possible.
You should have also received the Before and After School Enrichment Program brochure and registration form.  You may have noticed that we added a new class this year which is SPANISH FOR 3s on Thursdays at 12:45 - 2:45.  We have now extended that class to include our 4 year old students.  If you haven't received the information, please call us at (914) 238-9267 and we will get it out to you right away.
