Summer is just around the corner and we're now enrolling for summer art camp.  This year we'll do SEVEN new projects in clay sculpting, glass fusing, mosaics, and painting with ceramics, canvas and fabric.

We've planned some great adventures in this four-day program which runs Tuesday thru Friday each week, starting June 16.  (The week of July 4 camp runs Monday thru Thursday.) 

Clay projects include a bookend with animal habitat and an animal pen/pencil holder.  

Did you know that transforming a ball of clay into shapes and dreaming up color combinations foster independent thinking in young minds?

We'll also make a portrait of a funny face in fused glass, along with a mosaic picture frame and tie-dye T-shirt.  

Then we'll take it up a notch and paint a monogram on canvas with a rainbow in the background, and we'll learn sgraffito carving as we paint a seven-inch ceramic vase.

Studies have repeatedly shown kids engaged in art develop planning and problem-solving skills that improve academic performance across the board. 

Plus, it's fun!  We all enjoy the creative process and the chance to express our unique character.  Many kids find their camp projects make super gifts too.

Register now to get your preferred date.  The schedule and registration form are posted on the website at Art Camp.  Simply print out the form and mail or fax over to us.  We'll call you for credit card information.  

Discounts apply for early registration and for more than one child in a household.  Since some weeks always fill up, be sure to include a second choice week.

We're still working on the sample pieces.  You'll see them in the studio and in the eNews as they're ready.

Spring Workshops

We're doing workshops on Friday evenings and Saturday mornings now thru May.  Join us to try clay sculpting, glass fusing, mosaics, canvas painting and specialty techniques in ceramics.  The schedule is on the website at Spring Workshops.  Call us to register in advance.  

Plan to celebrate Mother's Day at our "Mommy & Me Tea Party" on Saturday, May 9. (Reservation required.)  Paint a choice of teacup and saucer, then enjoy cookies and lemonade.  Prices $20 or $25 per person.
