Registration for summer activities such as day camps, tennis clinics, and more has begun. Soon registration will begin for summer swim lessons and summer baseball. Also, check out what is happening at our Civic Centers. Greenwich Recreation will be participating in the Chamber of Commerce's Business Showcase on April 26.

Kite Flying Festival
The annual Kite Flying Festival will be held
Saturday, April 21 beginning at 11:00 AM at Greenwich Point. The event is co-hosted by Parks and Recreation, Greenwich Arts Council, the Indian Cultural Center of Greenwich, and Smart Kids Toys. In the event of rain, the event will be held April 22.

Summer Camps Registration Now Open!

Registration is now open
online for Greenwich residents to sign-up for our three day camps. Register prior to June 1st to pay the early bird discounted rate!
Kamp Kairphree is a co-ed program for children
ages 5-12. It operates out of the Eastern Greenwich Civic Center in Old Greenwich on Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. There are four two-week sessions. Campers rotate between the EGCC and two locations at Greenwich Point Beach. Plus, each Wednesday, campers go to Island Beach by ferry.
Greenwich
Adventurers
is a co-ed program for
ages 8-15; Its home base is the Bendheim Western Greenwich Civic Center. The camp includes one special field trip per week for each group, and local beach days at Greenwich Point and Island Beach. The summer is split into two sessions, totaling 7 weeks, Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
Music and Art Camp is for those children
entering grades 4 through 9. Music Camp is Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to noon. There is a pre-requisite of at least one year of study with an instrument, except for the Beginner Band section. Art Camp has morning and afternoon options, Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to noon and 12:30 to 3:30 PM. Afternoon Art is only open to those enrolled in morning music. The program runs for five weeks.

Spring & Summer Soccer
Youth ages 9-12 years can play soccer on Saturdays with
Soccer Extreme. Soccer Extreme also operates clinics on Mondays and Fridays after school in the spring for ages 4 through 12. You can register now at
Soccer Extreme. All programs begin in April.
Soccer Extreme will also be holding two one-week
Summer Soccer programs for youth ages 4&5 and ages 6-12.

T-ball, Baseball
Spring & Summer
Registration is open for
Co-ed T-Ball which is for ages 4 and 5. Six year-olds can register for
Small Fry I Baseball. In person registration only at the Bendheim Western Civic Center.
We also offer a
Summer Baseball program. Ages 6&7 and ages 8&9 are co-ed; whereas ages 10-12 is for boys. Registration begins in May.

Tennis and Pickleball Spring & Summer
The
Tennis Summer Schedule is available for youth and adult clinic instruction held in June and July. Tennis passes are needed for play on all 36 public park and school courts. Registration does not begin until June 1, but information is available now for the annual
Town Tennis Tournament
Registration opens April 23 for

Summer Swim Lessons at the new Greenwich Pool in Byram Park
Youth swim lessons for ages 4 and older will be held for three sessions at the new pool. Classes will be mornings from Monday through Thursday with a rain date on Fridays. Registration will begin online April 30. For additional details,

Bendheim Western Civic Center
Adults can participate in exercise classes. Open Co-ed Adult Volleyball is held Tuesdays from 7:30-9:30 PM; the drop-in fee is $4 per evening. Adults can also drop-in to play
Pickleball. Open gym hours are available for basketball and other activities; see the schedule on our website.

Abilis meets the needs of people with developmental disabilities. Their events are posted on their

CT Boating Course
In conjunction with the Greenwich Marine Police, America's Boating Club of Greenwich is offering a
Skilled Boater Course, Saturday May 5 or June 9 at Greenwich Police HQ, 11 Bruce Place.

Credit & Refund Policy
Credit requests for recreation program registration will be considered if received in writing prior to the start of the program. There is a $15.00 administrative fee for credits. The general policy of the Recreation Division is that we do not process refunds unless a program has been cancelled. Please read all registration information carefully and contact us prior to registering for a program if you have any questions.

Parks and Recreation Foundation
The
Greenwich Parks and Recreation Foundation was set up to receive donations, allowing the community citizens and businesses an avenue to donate to the Town of Greenwich Parks & Recreation projects and programs. The foundation is a 501 (c)(3).

Griffith E. Harris Golf Course Now Open!
|
PGA Pro Joe Felder would like to welcome everyone back for the 2018 golf season at the Griff. The Professional Staff is ready to accommodate all of your golfing needs. We have a fully stocked golf shop with very competitive prices as well as a full assortment of top of the line demo clubs from iron sets, wedges, to metal woods. Our instruction program is designed to help golfers of all skill levels. We offer private and group instruction, women's and junior clinics, as well as corporate clinics. Mark your calendar for the following annual clinics and make sure to sign up as they fill up very quickly.

As a reminder, proof of Greenwich residency is required
once
each calendar year for all Parks and Recreation programs. The primary account holder is required to provide two current proofs of Greenwich residence. Acceptable forms of proofs with resident name and Greenwich address are as follows: residential lease, utility bill (gas, electric, water, oil), phone, internet and/or TV service bill (NO cell/wireless phone bills), credit card or bank statement (NO mortgage statement) or valid Driver's License or CT State ID card.
All participants, under 25, require a birth certificate or passport on file.
All non-residents must provide identification and proof of address. Thank you!
The Parks and Recreation Office at Town Hall is generally open for business hours on weekdays from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
