Summer Service Time & Location
Summer services begin with a musical prelude at 10am. Summer services will be held in the air-conditioned Fellowship Hall -- bring a sweater!

Martin Buber Alberti. Love your enemies. OMG there's an app for that! Martin is a member of CUUC. He is a computer engineer and developer of a next-generation spiritual platform grounded in the seven UU principles. He has spent most of his career in the Internet/technology sectors, and is focusing now on a Beloved Community social networking app that helps you "nourish your spirit and heal the world."
July 26 Craig Hunt & Bevin Maguire The Road to Shamatha: Tibetan Spirits
Bevin Maguire and her husband, Craig Hunt, have been members of CUUC since 1995. Bevin was born and raised in Brooklyn and attended NYU. Craig was born and raised in Indiana and studied architecture at Tulane. They met at fellow CUUC member Creighton Cray's birthday party in Brooklyn in 1989. In 1995, Bevin joined IBM and they moved to Westchester and joined CUUC. Each of their children were dedicated and participated in the religious education program. In 2012, IBM assigned Bevin to Shanghai, China, where she, Craig and their three teenage daughters, Neassa, Sinead and Aine, lived for nearly three years. While living in China they traveled extensively throughout Asia. Once Bevin's assignment was complete the family returned to White Plains. Bevin remains with IBM and Craig is an architect in private practice.

Sharing Sunday Offerings
Summer: Kiva
Each month we share 25% of our plate offerings with outside organizations in need. Kiva connects people through lending to alleviate poverty. The CUC 5th-6th grade class created a Kiva account and has lent $300 in ten different countries. As the loans are paid back, they will be able to re-lend the money.

 Lifespan Religious Education
Dear RE Families, Teachers, and Friends,
We hope to see you on summer Sundays when you are not away. There is a great lineup of guest preachers and speakers this summer, along with some fun planned for the kids. Please see the following two announcements:
1. Summer Games for Kids
During the summer services, our high school youth will be leading activities and games for the younger children. It will be a fun time for children, while parents attend the services.
2. We Need You
The CUUC RE program needs you to Foster, Mentor, and Nourish our children & youth next year.
