Summer Tips!

1. Encourage deep root growth to help prevent dehydration in the heat. Water deeply but less frequently so roots will grow deeper into the soil.

2. Water early!  When the sun is out water can evaporate before it gets to the ground.

3. Watch for signs of dehydration; yellowing, wilting, grass blades turning up and focus on watering those plants first.
Do you have a Backflow device at your house?

ABF

Some houses in San Diego have a Backflow Preventer device installed on their water system. The device prevents the contamination of potable water. Each water district requires the devices be tested for proper operation annually.  Our sister company Advanced Backflow Service has been testing, repairing and installing devices for more than 20 years.  They have an annual reminder program that makes the testing process easy for the customer.

Summer has sure made its entrance!

The heat is on and we know that is when you want to water your grass and gardens. We also know we have limitations on how we can do that with California's drought situation.

A few things we suggest for you to keep your landscape as green as possible:

Water effectively; set your timer to water in the early morning hours or late in the evening when the water will have the chance to soak in and not evaporate in the mid-day heat.

Swap out your heads to water saving heads;  MP Rotator heads water more effectively while saving on the actual amount of water being dispersed. Did you know you can get rebates for that?! Click here for more info.

If possible use a drip line to water trees and plants; the water is dispersed at a "drip" directly into the soil so the water will absorb directly and waste less.

Add mulch to planter beds; a layer of mulch helps soil to retain moisture.  Retaining moisture means watering less.

Our  System Check Special is designed to run through your system to make sure your coverage is good, you're not leaking water, your watering schedule is optimum and the entire system is running at the highest efficiency.

Make your Summer Outdoors more inviting!

Summer is the season when we spend the most time outdoors. Make your outdoor areas more appealing by adding lighting!  Not only does it expand your living space outdoors but gives added security to your home, adding higher visibility for safety and security.   Plus if you're changing out your landscape for a more drought friendly environment, a great lighting system can enhance and beautify your new design.

We offer many more services from simple Head Repairs to complex System Modifications, Outdoor Lighting repairs and installations and Water Conservation!
