Welcome Fall!

We had a very busy summer! See where the  Project Mobility Crew has been!

A message from the Founder of Project Mobility - Hal Honeyman

"This weekend (June 12th, 2016) I had the pleasure and privilege of riding with...er, well behind...this group of amazing Warriors at Wounded Warrior Project's Trek 100 Challenge Ride. 27 Warriors from around the US and Puerto Rico came to Madison for 3 days of riding some of the best cycling roads the Midwest has to offer. Thursday's route started at the Honeyman cottage on Lake Wisconsin and took in my favorite 25 mile route around the Poynette area. On Friday we got a tour of the Trek factory and rode with some of the Trek employees in the Waterloo area (and ran into Jens Voigt in the hallway at Trek where he graciously took the time to pose for pictures and answer questions). On Saturday we scoffed heat (97 degrees on my bike computer) and a finishing headwind to join 2700 other cyclists at the Trek 100 to raise money for the MACC Fund.

Most of Project Mobility's work with Wounded Warrior Project is done at the beginning level of the warrior's recovery from obvious and hidden wounds from their service to our country. Many of the Warriors that I rode with (behind) this weekend were at that beginning stage when I first met them.To be able to work closely with the men and women who have come such a long way in their recovery is a rewarding and humbling experience. It reminds us that what we do IS helping. It reinforces the awesome power that cycling had to change a person's life.

NO EXCUSES! GO RIDE!"

By donating y ou can be a part of the reason we put more smiles on the faces of some very amazing  and
deserving people
Bikes for those who have a disability go beyond mere transportation, or even health building recreation for those whose health is often fragile. These specialized bikes create a sense of freedom for those who have a disability. Bikes restore a sense of possibility and ability to those whom are often told by society that their life is about limitations and disability. Project Mobility’s mission is to provide adaptive bikes and cycling opportunities to improve the quality of life for children, adults and wounded soldiers with emotional and physical challenges. The average adaptive bike costs $4,000. Most families can’t afford these bikes but you can help…. Donations help make it possible for Project Mobility to surprise individuals with their own adaptive bike.

Project Mobility is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and all donations are tax deductible
