Imagine the summer of 2012 as one that is described as a summer of worship, making a conscience decision to move closer toward God. Worship always begins with the revelation of our hearts truly going beyond our thoughts and focusing on Him. So, wherever you are today, begin with a heart of praise, thoughts that simply honor the Lord and thank Him for what he has done. Then, you will move toward a sincere and intimate time of worship, as our hearts touch the heart of God. Matt Redman's book, Facedown, reminds us that even our posture can augment our experience of worship. In the book of Daniel, Redman adds, "Daniel, that wonderful man of God, had a vision of the Lord God almighty with his face shining like lightning and his eyes blazing like flaming torches." He was so moved by this experience that in Daniel 10:15 we read, "I bowed with my face towards the ground and was speechless." That was an epiphany of God's presence, an awareness of the Creator of the Universe and His majesty. Whether you are at the beach or on vacation, let quietness overcome all of the distractions and static of life and just praise Jesus. Judy and I got away a couple of weeks ago. We had this wonderful moment holding hands, as we walked down the beach. I was aware that even on that hot day, the presence of the Lord was there. My heart was swelling with joy knowing that I was able to be with my awesome wife and with the Lord. Sometime today, try bowing down with your face towards the ground like Daniel did as you spend time in God's presence. Perhaps you will experience the same thing that he did. You will be speechless because in His presence you'll find joy, peace and an overwhelming sense of His unconditional love for you! Enjoy your Summer Of Worship!
