4th of July Holiday Closures
The main library and the Beverly Farms branch will be closed on Monday, July 4, 2016 for the Independence Day holiday. Additionally, the main library will be closed on Saturday, July 2. The Farms branch is closed Saturdays for the summer.

Our Bookmobile Librarian Retires

Linda Caravaggio, the library's Bookmobile Librarian for 28 years, will be retiring this summer. We will miss her and wish her all the best! Please join us at a public reception to celebrate Linda's career and wish her a very happy retirement. Refreshments will be provided. Learn the basics of working with the library's 3D printer Makerbot, and simple download and design using Thingiverse, Tinkercad and SketchUp. The workshop is required if you wish to use the 3D printer independently. No previous experience is needed to attend the workshop. Open to age 10 +. Laptops/devices are welcome. Questions? Jazz in June: The Brad Ellenberg Quintet

Join the Brad Ellenberg Quintet at the main library for a free outdoor concert featuring exciting and meaningful, original jazz music. The ensemble includes trumpet, saxophone, bass, drums, and guitar. The show is free and open to all. Rain or shine - rain location: Sohier Room, ground floor. We're happy to announce the return of "Summer Sounds," our free outdoor summer concert series located in our Winter Street courtyard. Join us Wednesday, July 6 at 6 PM for the opening performance with Adrienne Howard and Linda Swicker, playing traditional music from Ireland, Quebec, France, and Appalachia. The series is generously sponsored by the Friends of the Beverly Public Library.
Coming Soon: Adult Coloring!

Looking for a way to unwind that's simple, free, and creative? We can help! The main library will soon be offering adult coloring kits for use within the library. The kits will be available at the 2nd floor Circulation Desk some time in June - keep an eye on our website for a specific date announcement. Questions? 3D Printer Demonstration and Pop-up Makerspace
Wednesday, June 1, 3:30-5 PM
Location: C abot Theatre
Come see how a 3-D printer works, make jewelry with LED light-up adornments and play with LittleBits! The library is collaborating with the Waring School for this fun event which will be located at the Cabot Theatre (286 Cabot Street).

Just show up to watch anime and eat snacks with other fans! 

"Get in the Game, READ!" Summer Reading Program
Summer Reading Signup Night is Wednesday, June 22 from 6:30 - 8 PM. Can't make it? You can also sign up at the first teen summer event, Library Olympics (Thurs., June 30, 6 - 8 PM ) - OR, stop in the library any time between Thursday, June 23 through Saturday, July 30, to sign up and get your game card. Summer Reading Kick-off Ice Cream Party

Visit the library to sign-up for our summer reading program, "On Your Mark, Get Set…READ!". Learn how to earn tickets for the Topsfield Fair, pick up your summer reading packet and enjoy some ice cream! Thank you to Captain Dusty’s Ice Cream for supplying this year’s ice cream!

Library Lawn Party & Centennial Celebration
Saturday, June 11 from 1 - 3 PM
The Beverly Farms Library is celebrating 100 years! We're beginning the celebration at our annual party on the lawn. Join us for musical entertainment, a book sale, ice cream sundaes, and crafts and games for kids. Rain location: Conrad Lecture Hall. Sponsored by the Friends of the Beverly Farms Library.

    Kick off summer reading events for kids with this magical extravaganza. Sign up for a reading log, join the weekly guessing game and check out all of our fun programs!
  • "Pre-School Music with Dara," Friday, June 3 at 10:45 AM - a lively, interactive music program for ages 18 mos. - 5 years.  
  • "Twilight Tales," Thursdays at 6:30 PM beginning June 23 - stories for kids and families on the library lawn. Bring a blanket and snack; PJs optional. In case of rain we'll move inside. 
  • "Summer Souvenirs," Wednesday, July 6 at 11 AM - for kids 6 and up. Create a scrapbook to collect your summer memories. Registration required.
