The Monday Mornings fall series will start on

Monday Mornings is a lecture series designed for senior adults. All adults welcome to attend. Programs run from 9:30 to 10:30 AM. Light refreshments are available starting at 9 AM. Programs are free, signup not required. To be added to the program email list, or for more info please email

“Libraries Rock!” Summer Reading Program
Reading logs must be returned to the Children’s Room by
Wednesday, August 8
to win the Topsfield Fair Prize Packet for children age 5 years old to grade 6. It is very important that you visit the Children’s Room with your reading log by this date. We will not be able to accept late entries. Children who read at least 700 minutes will earn a Topsfield Fair Prize Packet which includes admission to the fair, a hot dog and drink voucher, and 2 ride tickets. They will also receive a rockin’ roll rubber duck and can enter a raffle to win “Libraries Rock!” Prizes. Children 4 and under will select a free book.
Reading for a Cause
There’s still time to add a Book Note with the title of your favorite book to our "Libraries Rock!" musical display! When we reach the goal of 1,000 Book Notes
the Friends of the Library
will donate $200 to the local nonprofit group

Summer Reading Program for Teens!
Registration for the teen summer reading program ends July 31!
Teens win prizes by tracking how much they read and the events they attend on their “Libraries Rock!” Game Cards. To sign up, visit library any time through Tuesday, July 31. Game cards will be available at the Reference Desk and in the Young Adult Office (when staffed).

Drop in or stay the whole time. Play board games and eat snacks! Watch the live drawing for the grand prizes & collect any outstanding prizes.

August Art: “Cape Ann Artists Group Show”
August 2 - 31
Artists from Susie Field’s Monday painting class in Gloucester will exhibit at the library this month. The group paints all around Cape Ann in the warm weather. The show will include a variety of paintings styles and mediums. Join us for a lovely summer art show.
Adult Book Discussion

New members welcome. This month we're discussing

by David Grann. Books may be picked up in advance at the library. Copies may be also available in large print, CD audiobook and digital formats.

"Libraries Rock!" Summer Programs for Children
Twilight Tales

Bring a blanket and a snack. PJs optional. Story times for the whole family on the library lawn.*
Music with Dara
Fridays, August 3 and September 7 at 10:30 AM
Join Dara for a lively musical concert on the library lawn.* The show is geared for children ages 18 months-5 years old. All are welcome.
Reptiles
(for age 5 and up)
Wednesday, August 15 at 11 AM
The Museum of Science Traveling Programs will bring an assortment of live reptiles to the library. We’ll learn about these amazing creatures and why they are important to us.
*In case of rain, lawn programs will be held in the library.
