2017 Summer Reading Program
"Build a Better World" Reading Program

"Build a Better World" is the theme for the 2017 Summer Reading Program. The program, sponsored by the Friends of the Watertown Public Library, encourages recreational reading and library use by Watertown area children during the summer. The Library offers two kids program levels: a Read-to-Me section for non-readers and those beginning to read and an Independent Reading Program for those able to read on their own through grade 5.

Sign-up begins Tuesday, May 30 online and in the Library!

How does it work?

Read-to-Me Readers track books read.
Independent Readers track minutes read.

Receive Reading Raffle tickets for every 5 books read (Read-to-Me) or 60 minutes (Independent) spent reading.

Children may select which raffle prize to use their raffle tickets toward. Prize drawings will be held on Fridays throughout the summer.
Winners will be notified by telephone.

Receive Superdraw Raffle tickets to be drawn at the Summer Reading Wrap Up Party on Saturday, August 5 for every 30 books read (Read-to-Me) or every 5 hours (Independent) spent reading.
